The Bible tells us God's creation was very good, but it was then quickly spoiled by man. God mounted a rescue. He chose Abraham and his descendants to live in his ways, but they fell short. In the end, God came to earth himself as Jesus and suffered the death penalty on behalf of humanity, so that justice could be satisfied for those who accept his death as being for them. He now invites us into a restored relationship with him.
Trying to get all that into a single paragraph is not easy, and it could no doubt be improved, but the point to make is this. There is no other faith that puts the death of God himself on our behalf in a central place. Jesus is unique in that respect (John 14:6).
To discover about Jesus and his message about the kingdom of God, read his life story in one of the four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
I have been trying to follow him for over fifty years and it's been the best thing ever (Psalm 34:8).
